Who is Teach?

Name: Brandon Lomax

Stage name : TEACH

Genre: hip hop, independent

Favorite food: I love sushi, I can eat it all day long (laughs)

Favorite artist: I can't narrow it down. There are too many.

How long have you been doing music? I've been doing music for 5 going on 6 years.

What made you decide to go that direction? I just love music. The feeling you can get from a good song. I was also very inspired by my father (Voxx) who has still been killing the game.

What is your insperation for being in the music industry? It just comes to me. Once I hear a beat. Or melodic sound, it really has 5-10 seconds to catch my attention but once it hits, it hits hard.

When your not in the studio what music do you listen to? I love bands like Chevelle, Blindside, Chiodos, killswitch engage. Really anything if it sounds good to me

Did you ever thing you will make a dent like you have?

To be honest, I didn. I had no idea but once things started to catch on i was thrown off. But then had to put myself in that mindset of well. If this is where it's going lets capitalize and make the most out of this. It was all for the love. Then the business side started to launch.

How did you come up with the single Life of the Party?: this track was a track that really did just hit me. The saying happened was, I started seeing where this was going and being in my hometown. I went from a kid noone paid any attention to. I actually used to get bullied and no-one really cared. But once the skating I do took off as well as the music and people would reach out to me, message me, or see me in public and would get excited seeing me and would give me free stuff from places id go out to and people actually wanting me around. I felt like I became the life of the party. So it was perfect timing.

What is your future goals for success? I want to tour around the world. Not only performing shows, but skateboarding. I love skating, so to travel and see new places experience new cultures would be insane.

If you could ever do a callabo with any

artist who would it be and why? If I could collab with anyone. It'd be J.cole, Logic, Dizzy Wright, Wu tang clan, Redman, Danny Brown, Drake, Kendrick, and the list goes on (laughs)

What advice can you give other who may follow your foot steps? Keep going. You'll find every reason to stop. There will be a lot of things to happen to "Justify" why you'd want to quit. But don't. If you feel this is really your calling. Don't stop. Push man Push!

Where can our readers find your music? Spotify, just look up TEACH life of the party,

But Apple, Tidal, YouTube, soundcloud, really just about anyone.

Lil Wayne has a beef with Birdman..

Lil Wayne has fresh beef with Birdman for letting Tyga one of Wayne's artists out of his contract without even the slightest discussion.

Sources close to Wayne tell TMZ, the rapper is fuming after Tyga was cut loose, opening the door for him to sign a new deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music. Problem is ... he was on Young Money, where Weezy's a founding partner and 49% owner.

Even though Birdman owns a majority stake, Wayne feels his John Hancock was necessary to seal the deal, and had he been consulted ... he would have vetoed it anyway.

See? Kylie's not the only who thinks Tyga is a hot commodity.

Andre 300 insinuated that Drakes does not write his own music

Move over Meek Mill, there are other rappers who want to shade Drake, and they probably have a better shot at it than you. If you’re interested in music at all, then you know we’ve all been living in desperate anticipation of Frank Ocean’s new album, Blond, and it’s finally, finally out.
Well, Andre 3000 did a verse with the lyrics:
"After 20 years in /

I’m so naive I was under the im-pression that everyone wrote they own verses /
It’s comin’ back different and yea that shyt hurts me /

I’m hummin’ and whistlin’ to those not deserving /

I’m stumbled and lift every word, was I working just way too hard?"

He could of course be talking about anybody, but since Meek Mill tried to start some sh*t by accusing Drake of not writing his own lyrics, all eyes will probably be turning Drizzy’s way. Does Drake write his own verses?

The world will likely never know, but considering how basic they are on Views, it would be a little absurd to pay somebody for this:

“Yeah, okay, you like it
When I get, aggressive, tell you to
Go slower, go faster
Like controlla, controlla
Yeah, like controlla, controlla.”

These are known facts tho ……
And a Complex article:
The center of attention in the conspiracy of Drake's ghostwriting allegations, as fueled by Meek Mill and OG Maco, is an Atlanta rapper named Quentin Miller. But while Miller's name appears suspiciously in song credits for a lot of Drizzy's recent work, it would seem, especially from past interviews, that the Boy has a history of, at the very least, collaborating on his verses with other writers.

First there's Nickelus F, the rapper who helped usher Drake into the game and whom Drake himself cites as a huge influence and one of the reasons he seriously pursued rapping. Soon after Drake's rise, rumors swirled of Nickelus F providing more than inspiration, and during an interview back in 2010 Complex asked him about it straight up.

Complex: Oh, so it's like sometimes you might help write a hook, or if it's part of the verse you might help start off a verse, or write some of the verse?

Nickelus F: Yeah, I've done that. I know the rumor going around. I don't want anything I say to be misconstrued. I helped out, you know. [Laughs].
Complex: So anyone who says, "Nickelus F writes for Drake" would be mistaken?

Nickelus F: Yes. Have I done work here and there? Yes I have. Do I write for him on a regular basis? No. Have I written for him on a regular basis? No.

Complex: But you have written for him before?
Nickelus F: Verses?
Complex: Yeah.

Nickelus F: Yes, I have done a verse. Not a bunch of verses. I have helped out with hooks and one verse in particular. But I don't write no verses for him.

Complex: What was that one verse in particular?
Nickelus F: I don't want to say! [Laughs].
Complex: Was it well known?

Nickelus F: Yeah, it's well known. I don't know if I necessarily want to put that out there. That's my homie at the end of the day.

Complex: Could you say what project it was on?
Nickelus F: Yeah, but it would kind of give it away.

Complex: Wayne spit a Drake verse at the Grammys. People know Wayne writes his shit, just like people know Drake writes his shit. If there's a verse that he spit that's yours, or that you helped him with, it's not going to be like, "Oh my God! Drake doesn't write anything because Nickelus F wrote one verse for him."

Nickelus F: Well, it was on the So Far Gone retail version. I'll just say that much. I don't want to say what song.

Complex: Was it "Fear"?
Nickelus F: No, it wasn't "Fear." I ain't have nothing to do with "Fear." I ain't have nothing to do with anything new that he's working on.
Complex: Are you credited on the liner notes?
Nickelus F: No, I am not credited. Not credited yet. We're working it out though. We talked about it.

Complex: It wasn't anything on "Best I Ever Had" though?
Nickelus F: No, it wasn't anything on "Best I Ever Had."
Complex: "Successful"?
Nickelus F: Nah, I didn't do anything on "Successful."

Complex: "Houstonlantavegas"?
Nickelus F: Nothing on "Houstonlantavegas."
Complex: "The Calm"?
Nickelus F: Nothing on "The Calm?"
Complex: "Uptown?"
Nickelus F: Nothing on "Uptown."
Complex: It's got to be "I'm Goin' In" then?
Nickelus F: [Laughs]. I didn't say that.

Then in a VIBE cover story around the time Nothing Was the Same dropped, Drake spoke candidly about the writing process for "Connect" involving a "poet" named Kenza Samir.

Who helped me write on“Connect” is this girl Kenza. She’s a great girl and a phenomenal poetry writer. We just sit together and come up with the best way to say things.

Actually, me and her did [the lyric] “love people and use things and not the other way around.” It’s cool to get another creative mind in there, just someone who’s thinking solely about the words and not the melodies and placement. It’s nice to read her poetry sometimes, I’ll take from that.

“‘Connect’ was in the air at one point. Because the album is slow sometimes and we were trying to keep the tempo up—maybe we could replace that with something a little quicker. But I fought for ‘Connect’ because that was one of the most groundbreaking pieces, musically.” —Shebib

“When I texted him, 'Isn't it amazing, how you talk all that shit and still we lack communication,' he was like, 'Are you talking to me about me right now or is that for the song?'” —Kenza Samir, poet

Rob Kardashian spent 13k on take out for blac chyna during one month of her pregnancy

Blac Chyna’s cravings almost broke the bank.
“I feel like I don't have any pregnancy cravings, though,” the makeup artist said on Facebook live said before fiancé Rob Kardashian corrected her.
“Philly cheesesteak,” she said. “P.F. Chang's.”
Instead of late night runs, Kardashian said he ordered delivery from Postmates when cravings struck.

I think one month, it got to like, $13,000,” he said.
The engaged couple also revealed how they first met: Kendall’s Sweet 16 at Six Flags.
“The weirdest thing now like looking back at pictures, we was like winning prizes together and sitting on the ride like close to each other,” Chyna said.

“Everything just comes full circle,” Kardashian agreed.
Their first date, the couple revealed, was at Khloé Kardashian’s house were they drank “a lot of Hennessy.”
"Our real first date, it was probably just you cooking,” Kardashian said.

“I invited him over and I cooked for him and that's how I rode him in,” Chyna added.
The two also answered a question on who they would trust to babysit their baby — Kendall or Kylie: Chyna said both, Kardashian said neither.

As for what the expectant parents would be doing if they weren’t famous, both joked that they’d be in a strip club.
“I would probably be still in the strip club. I'm just keeping it real. I can't do nothing else,” Chyna said.

“And I would probably be in the strip club also. I would definitely go and find Chyna and go to the strip club,” Kardashian said.

“Eat some food. They got the best food in the strip club.”

Ja Rule And Ashanti Changes “Natural Born Killers” Tour Name

Ja Rule and Ashanti are showing their sensitive sides.
The two hip-hop artists decided to change their tour name from “Natural Born Killers” to just “Natural Born” in the wake of senseless violence across the globe, Ja Rule told TMZ.
The “Put it on Me” singer said the pair thought it might “insensitive to the families of the victims” to leave it as is, according to TMZ.

The Queens-born rapper posted an updated tour poster to his Instagram account on Monday with the word “killers” crossed out.

Ja Rule assured TMZ that they have the right to call it whatever they want, but it was their choice to make the change anyway.

The “Natural Born” name is solely for promotional purposes as tickets for the show just state “Ja Rule and Ashanti,” according to the gossip site.

Ja Rule and Ashanti are well-known for putting out early 2000 hits as a team, including “Always on Time” and “What’s Luv.”
Their tour kicks off in New York City on Aug. 25 at the Playstation Theatre.

Mary J. Blige flies for divorce from husband kendu isaac

It looks like it won't be a family affair for much longer.
Mary J. Blige has filed for divorce from her manager and husband of 12 years, Martin (Kendu) Isaacs, according to court documents obtained by the Daily News.
The Bronx-born artist cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and is asking that Isaacs not be allowed any type of spousal support, according to the documents.
The date of separation is listed as "to be determined."
"Ms. Blige is saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce saying sometimes things don't work how we hoped they would, but there is a divine plan and a reason for everything," the singer's rep said in a statement to The News.
"Mary will continue writing and working on her album which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time," the rep said.
It is unclear if the couple, who don't have any children together, had a pre-nuptial agreement.
Blige brought on attorney Gary Fishbein to assist in her the divorce case. Fishbein previously repped Ryan Phillippe in his divorce from Reese Witherspoon and also represented Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry in the couple's child custody battle.
The "Family Affair" singer married Isaacs back in 2003 at her home in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Blige and Isaacs made headlines in 2013 when they were hit with a $3.4 million tax lien by the state of N.J. Her hubby got defensive on Twitter noting that he and his wife are fine following the news.
The R&B superstar — often referred to as the "Queen of hip-hop soul" — got her start back in 1989 with jams like "No More Drama" and "Real Love" topping the charts. As of 2013, she had sold more than 50 million albums and won nine Grammy Awards.
